Senior Lead - Footwear Lab Standard & Method Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and roll-out of global lab guidelines and standards across the Asia region
• Act as the primary bridge between regional labs and Zurich global lab leadership
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with product development, sourcing, quality, and compliance stakeholders
• Serve as the regional point of transparency for laboratory expectations across Tier 1 and Tier 2 business partners
• Establish local governance structures and lead initiatives to eliminate regional variability
• Coordinate internal audits, capability assessments, and compliance checks
• Ensure integrity, accuracy, and traceability of lab data across regional facilities
• Design and deliver training programs to upskill local lab teams
• Contribute to the evolution of lab systems, tools, and reporting dashboards
• Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing lab team in Asia

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, Materials, Chemistry, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in laboratory leadership, quality systems, or testing operations within textile, apparel, or consumer product industries
• Proven experience developing and implementing guidelines and governance frameworks
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to drive improvement projects, audits, and compliance
• Experience in lab data systems and reporting tools development
• Strong analytical thinking, project management, and training delivery expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field
• Previous experience in global roll-out of standards and lab governance
