About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies, including static, fatigue, damage-tolerance, and vibration analysis.
- Evaluate structural integrity using both classical hand calculations and finite element methods (FEM).
- Draw Free Body Diagrams (FBDs) based on structural load paths to determine applied, interface, and internal load distributions.
- Prepare and revise formal strength check notes and stress reports using Microsoft Office.
- Propose engineering solutions to resolve concerns identified during stress analysis.
- Manage project schedules, costs, and engineering metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) and First Pass Yield (FPY).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with business units in the USA.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 7-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing, and analysis.
- Proficiency in solid mechanics, machine design, and structural load paths.
- Experience with analysis tools such as Hypermesh or Nastran/Patran.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
