Senior Lead Engineer – Embedded Core Platform Firmware

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of low-level platform firmware and boot software.
• Drive SoC bring-up on emulation, FPGA, simulation, and silicon platforms.
• Develop and integrate firmware for DDR, UFS, eMMC, NAND, SPI-NOR, NVMe, USB, PCIe, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Own secure boot, authentication, platform configuration, and execution environment enablement.
• Collaborate with hardware, architecture, validation, security, and system teams to resolve complex platform issues.
• Lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure firmware quality, security, and scalability.
• Drive issue triage, root-cause analysis, and milestone execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded firmware or platform software development.
• Expert-level C programming and strong debugging skills.
• Extensive experience in bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, and embedded systems.
• Strong understanding of ARM architecture and low-level system software.
• Proven experience in silicon bring-up, platform initialization, and system debugging.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Secure Boot, TrustZone, cryptography, and authentication frameworks.
• Proficiency in ARM assembly programming.
• Experience with DDR/LPDDR memory initialization and training.
• Knowledge of UEFI/EDK2, U-Boot, TF-A, Coreboot, Zephyr, or FreeRTOS.
• Experience with Trace32, Lauterbach, JTAG, and pre-silicon development environments.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
