Senior Lead Credit Risk Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead the rationalization, maintenance, and development of wholesale credit policies to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and the bank's risk appetite
• Write credit policies with minimal oversight, ensuring they are clearly understood by stakeholders and adhere to Policy Management standards
• Present policy topics to Group Senior Credit Officers and Business-Aligned Chief Risk Officers to build consensus
• Provide proactive management of existing credit policies, procedures, and supporting documents
• Identify improvement opportunities within policy, procedure, and surveillance programs
• Monitor, assess, and report on asset quality, portfolio trends, and credit policy exception trends
• Provide credible challenge of line of business credit products, programs, and policies
• Collaborate with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk-related topics

Requirements

• 7+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Real Estate credit experience within a large, regulated financial institution
• Experience in credit policy development and governance
• 3+ years of management or senior leadership experience, including leading teams or enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives
• Current or prior delegated credit approval authority, including approval of complex credit transactions
