Senior Layout Engineer

Responsibilities

• Complete layout work using CAD software for analog integrated circuits
• Collaborate closely with design engineers to provide high-quality layout in a timely manner
• Perform block level, macro level, and top level tasks including floor planning, assembly, and verification
• Recognize common analog structures and floorplan blocks utilizing best analog layout practices
• Communicate regular status updates to domestic and international design teams
• Create presentations, "how to" documents, and training instructions for engineering peers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in the layout of integrated circuits
• Strong familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Layout XL, SKILLCAD, Calibre, and Unix
• Strong understanding of basic electrical properties and principles
• Knowledge of Latch-up prevention and ESD protection schemes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in multiple processes
• Execution in Block Level assembly of Layout
• Experience with Top-level Layout
• Familiarity with P&R methods
