Senior Lawyer

Responsibilities

• Monitor applicable financial and regulatory laws and provide proactive legal recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Manage regulatory procedures through external counsel, including matters involving PROFECO, CONDUSEF, and ARCO rights
• Oversee litigation and compliance-related disputes
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to financial regulatory authorities
• Partner with the Legal Manager to provide legal advice on strategic projects and business decisions
• Identify and implement process improvements within legal operations and compliance activities

Requirements

• Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience
• Expertise in the Mexican financial regulatory framework
• Knowledge of Antitrust and competition law
• Proficiency in Mexican data protection laws
• Native Spanish and advanced English (90%)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of EU data protection regulations
