Senior Laboratory Test Chemist

Responsibilities

• Lead complex test programs, defining test plans, ensuring report accuracy, and meeting project deadlines.
• Execute complex defined test plans and evaluate sample performance using specialized chemical testing technologies.
• Examine customer samples and communicate with internal and external stakeholders during setup and operation.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate complex test instruments and laboratory equipment.
• Train and mentor junior laboratory staff on test procedures and instrumentation.
• Integrate continuous improvement concepts and automation into day-to-day testing processes.
• Assist in the implementation and validation of new test methods while following safe chemical hygiene practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science, or a related discipline.
• 4 years of directly related work experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to incorporate automation into laboratory testing workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and technical staff.
