Senior Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Examine test samples and interpret measuring instruments, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Evaluate test performance and provide feedback regarding issues with test data or sheets.
• Operate specialized laboratory equipment and designated machines with minimal supervision.
• Direct, build, or adapt test equipment setups based on engineering instructions.
• Train laboratory staff in various test setups and methodologies.
• Perform routine maintenance on test equipment and maintain a clean laboratory area.
• Record observed data and prepare comprehensive test reports and data sheets.
• Communicate with clients and field representatives to discuss test methods and results.
• Assist engineering teams in modifying existing methods or validating new test methods.

Requirements

• 2 years of University education in a related discipline or Engineering, or a 4-year University degree in another field.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing processes.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Proven ability to be innovative and creative in a technical environment.
• Strong desire to work within a team-oriented setting.
