Senior Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Examine test samples and interpret measuring instruments, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Evaluate test performance and provide feedback regarding issues with test data sheets
• Direct, build, and adapt setup and test equipment based on engineering instructions
• Perform routine maintenance of designated test equipment and laboratory areas
• Train staff in test setups and various testing methods
• Record observed or calculated data on appropriate forms and prepare detailed test reports
• Communicate with clients and field representatives to discuss test methods and results
• Integrate continuous improvement concepts into all aspects of laboratory operations

Requirements

• 2 years of University education in a related discipline or Engineering, or a 4-year University degree in another field
• EPA certification for refrigerant transition and recovery
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing processes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers
