About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing and support activities per Standard Operating Procedures
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Manage inventory for required operating materials
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet established deadlines
- Support other laboratory areas as needed
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific field
- 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, chemical handling, and analytical testing equipment
- Ability to work in a high-volume laboratory testing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
- 5+ years of analytical or metallurgy laboratory experience
- Experience with sample preparation, gravimetry, metallurgy testing, microscopy, and cutting/polishing/etching
- Experience with LabWare or similar LIMS
- Experience in ISO 9001 certified organizations
