Senior Laboratory Technician - Metallurgy

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing and support activities per Standard Operating Procedures
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Manage inventory for required operating materials
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet established deadlines
• Support other laboratory areas as needed

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific field
• 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, chemical handling, and analytical testing equipment
• Ability to work in a high-volume laboratory testing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
• 5+ years of analytical or metallurgy laboratory experience
• Experience with sample preparation, gravimetry, metallurgy testing, microscopy, and cutting/polishing/etching
• Experience with LabWare or similar LIMS
• Experience in ISO 9001 certified organizations
