About the role
Responsibilities
- Instruct students on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and experiments
- Coordinate laboratory usage for classes and assist with lab organization and storage
- Build, set up, and provide support for experimental setups and perform routine equipment maintenance
- Assist students with project design and implementation, specifically regarding integrated circuits and microcontrollers
- Maintain and operate various tools including oscilloscopes, laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC mills, and lathes
- Manage laboratory inventories, order replacement supplies, and coordinate billing for materials
- Interface with student clubs to support project design and manufacturing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
- Minimum of three years of experience working in a research environment
- Proficiency with soldering equipment
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and programming
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in mechatronics or robotics
- Previous experience in mentoring or student instruction
