About the role

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and experiments
  • Coordinate laboratory usage for classes and assist with lab organization and storage
  • Build, set up, and provide support for experimental setups and perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Assist students with project design and implementation, specifically regarding integrated circuits and microcontrollers
  • Maintain and operate various tools including oscilloscopes, laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC mills, and lathes
  • Manage laboratory inventories, order replacement supplies, and coordinate billing for materials
  • Interface with student clubs to support project design and manufacturing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in a research environment
  • Proficiency with soldering equipment
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and programming

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in mechatronics or robotics
  • Previous experience in mentoring or student instruction
