Senior Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities

• Build and adapt unique setup and test equipment for complex electrical engineering tests using independent judgment
• Perform tests using general laboratory equipment and apply knowledge of applicable test requirements
• Conduct routine maintenance and care of designated test equipment and work areas
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
• Examine test samples, read measuring instruments, and analyze test results
• Prepare data sheets and record observed or calculated test results for distribution
• Operate computers to extract/input information and utilize available testing software
• Collaborate with engineers and laboratory technicians to determine testing needs

Requirements

• Higher Secondary Education
• 1-2 years of related laboratory experience
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Strong computer skills for day-to-day testing and data management
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative in a laboratory setting
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment
