Senior Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Rework through-hole and surface-mount electronic components
• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies
• Assist with prototype integration, testing, and design iterations
• Conduct functional testing and inspections of PCBAs
• Assist engineers with test setups and troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory workspace
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies from approved vendors

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience soldering surface mount parts
• Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills including spreadsheet and inventory tracking

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup, R&D, or prototype environment
• Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
• Experience with electromechanical assembly and troubleshooting
• IPC soldering certification
• Experience with purchasing and vendor coordination
