Senior Lab Process Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects and the development of automation systems and software tools
• Develop scripts for liquid handling robots and other lab automation instruments
• Define and lead automation systems development, testing, and qualification requirements
• Support documentation for equipment validation, operating procedures, and IQ/OQ/PQ
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and analyze data to drive process decisions
• Collaborate with external vendors to assess and implement new solutions
• Mentor and provide guidance to other team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or biochemistry with 5+ years of experience, or Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience in an NGS lab
• Experience as an automation programmer in a life science industry
• Proficiency in automation systems development and integration with robotics and liquid handling systems
• Required experience with Hamilton Venus 4 or 6 programming
• Experience deploying automation methods using GitHub or GitLab
• Experience drafting user requirements, testing, and Standard Operating Procedures
