Senior Lab Pack Chemist

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous materials including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material
• Perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, and safety inspections
• Prepare shipments by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading transport vehicles
• Complete documentation including shipping papers and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs)
• Maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement
• Perform unknown field testing for classification and packaging
• Mentor new employees and lead field service jobs
• Assist sales in creating estimates for lab pack work

Requirements

• Associate degree in general science (BS preferred)
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Material endorsement
• Minimum two years of lab pack experience
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
• 8 hours DOT Training
• PPE Training including Respirators
• 40 hours Depack Experience
• Ability to lift and move material exceeding 55 lbs
• Advanced knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations
• Ability to travel up to 20% overnight
