Senior Lab Pack Chemist

Responsibilities

• Manage hazardous material inventory, including identification, segregation, and packaging in accordance with Lab Pack policies and regulations.
• Perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, and safety/compliance inspections.
• Prepare shipments by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading packaged waste into transport vehicles.
• Complete required documentation, including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs), and certifications.
• Operate company vehicles by maintaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement.
• Conduct unknown field testing for classification and packaging for transportation and disposal.
• Lead and coordinate field service jobs requiring multiple personnel and mentor new employees.
• Assist sales teams with site walks and creating estimates for lab pack work.

Requirements

• Associate degree in general science (Bachelor of Science preferred).
• Minimum of two (2) years of lab pack experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Material endorsement.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• 8 hours of DOT Training and PPE Training (including Respirators).
• 40 hours of Depack experience.
• Ability to lift and move materials frequently exceeding 55 lbs.
• Advanced knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to travel moderately, including approximately 20% overnight travel.
