Senior Lab Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and day-to-day operational management for the Validations, Media QC, and IDs department.
• Lead competitive advantage efforts by tracking and improving key performance indicators such as quality, utilization, and turnaround times.
• Manage talent through direct reports, setting clear performance standards, and partnering with HR on succession planning and retention.
• Oversee business unit P&L, budgets, and financial metrics, including CapEx planning and ROI modeling.
• Optimize testing workflows and resource scheduling to meet client expectations and business needs.
• Ensure strict regulatory compliance with GMP, GLP, and ISO standards, as well as company policies and safety initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase laboratory efficiencies and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of applicable supervisory or people management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Microbiology, Quality Control, or Validations.
• Laboratory science education or professional certifications.
• Experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
