Senior Lab Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and day-to-day management for the Validations, Media QC, and IDs department.
• Lead competitive advantage efforts by tracking and improving key performance indicators such as quality, utilization, and turnaround times.
• Manage talent, including direct reports, performance standards, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Oversee departmental P&L, budgets, and financial metrics to ensure operational excellence.
• Optimize testing workflows and resource scheduling to meet client expectations and business needs.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements including GMP, GLP, and ISO standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of applicable supervisory or people management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Microbiology, Quality Control, or Validations.
• Laboratory science education or professional certifications.
• Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
