Responsibilities

• Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure lab spaces are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Manage and prioritize lab user requests via MaintainX tickets and Slack
• Strategically manage inventory and procurement of lab supplies and PPE
• Oversee inspection and certification of lab safety equipment and coordinate gas cylinder logistics
• Own the preventative maintenance program for essential lab equipment including pumps, vacuums, and water filtration units
• Serve as the lead point of contact for external vendors and manage on-site service visits
• Collaborate with Facilities and Warehouse teams during lab moves and equipment decommissioning/commissioning
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and work instructions using CMMS software

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience working in a lab environment
• Training or certifications in chemical hygiene and lab safety best practices
• Experience with lab equipment operations and troubleshooting
• Strong technical communication skills for internal customers and external vendors
• Proficiency with Google Apps, Slack, or other cloud-based software
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with lift-assist devices, drum dollies, and gas cylinder dollies
