Senior Jewellery Expert

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and arrange jewellery lots submitted by sellers to create attractive auctions
• Review lot titles, descriptions, and pictures to provide realistic estimated values
• Maintain transparency and fairness in user transactions through professional communication
• Partner with the sales department to recruit and develop new sellers
• Collaborate with the marketing department to increase bidder attention

Requirements

• Gemmology Diploma from a FEEG or GIA recognized school
• 5–10 years of experience in the jewellery, diamonds, or precious stones trade
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, or gemmological testing
• Experience in appraising and assessing jewellery
• Leadership and project management capabilities
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, or Google Slides
• Fluent English; French is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive trade knowledge with an existing network of potential sellers and experts
• Diplomatic competence to act as a mediator in user disputes
