Senior Jewellery Expert

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and arrange jewellery lots submitted by sellers to create attractive auctions
• Review lot titles, descriptions, and pictures to provide realistic estimated values
• Maintain transparency and fairness in user transactions through expert authentication
• Partner with the sales department to recruit and develop new jewellery sellers
• Collaborate with the marketing department to increase bidder attention for auctions

Requirements

• Gemmology Diploma from a FEEG or GIA recognized school
• 5–10 years of experience in the jewellery, diamonds, or precious stones trade
• Ability to perform gemmological and authentication tests
• Proven experience in appraising and assessing jewellery
• Strong understanding of second-hand, B2B, and B2C jewellery market dynamics
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, or Google Slides
• Fluent English; Italian is a plus

• Project management capabilities and experience with cross-functional teams
• Extensive trade knowledge with an existing network of potential sellers
• Strong analytical skills and diplomatic competence for dispute mediation
