Senior JavaScript Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex web applications using Next.js and NestJS
• Develop robust and efficient backend services with Node.js and PostgreSQL
• Implement and maintain real-time messaging solutions
• Apply expertise in AI prompt engineering to optimize interactions with LLMs
• Contribute to the training and fine-tuning of machine learning models
• Develop and integrate features related to embedding, chunking, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in TypeScript
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ship new features
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a JavaScript Engineer with full-stack focus
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL
• Extensive experience with Next.js and NestJS
• Proven experience with AI prompt engineering
• Familiarity with model training concepts and practices
• Experience with real-time messaging systems
• Understanding of embedding, chunking, and RAG implementation
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or React Testing Library
