Senior Java/Kafka Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java (Spring Boot)
• Define, implement, and optimize event streams on Apache Kafka (topics, partitions, performance, security)
• Participate in software architecture choices and the industrialization of real-time solutions
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, continuous integration, and code reviews
• Contribute to production deployment and application monitoring (CI/CD, monitoring, support)
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams
• Propose improvements for technical and methodological best practices

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of confirmed experience in Java backend development
• Expertise in Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Proficiency in Java 11+, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and CI/CD tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
• Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Kotlin
• Experience in the banking or financial sector
