Senior Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex multi-tiered application software systems for space vehicle command and control
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of non-embedded software, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, and safety standards
• Develop software within an Agile framework, participating in PI planning and DevSecOps processes
• Coordinate the optimization and enhancement of software products for system integrations
• Lead the translation of customer requirements into technical designs, algorithms, and interfaces
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency
• Mentor team members and consult on software domains, system-specific issues, and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• 5+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular/ReactJS, HTML, and CSS
• 5+ years of experience in software development and configuration management tools
• Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Proven experience using Agile software development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Extensive experience (9-17+ years) in related software engineering roles
• Experience with software architecture and design methodologies
• Proficiency in deriving and allocating requirements with full traceability throughout the product lifecycle
• Experience with implementation, validation, and verification processes to ensure software quality and safety
