Senior Java Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers while fostering a collaborative DevOps culture.
• Define and execute the technical strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance FinTech applications.
• Design, develop, and deploy Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and maintain microservices-based systems on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Ensure efficient containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and business leaders to align technical roadmaps with company goals.
• Ensure applications comply with financial regulations and data security standards like GDPR and PCI DSS.
• Optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for high-volume, large-scale data processing and real-time transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of Java development experience, specifically with Spring Framework and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Deep expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL database management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools including Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Proven ability to design and deploy secure applications within a regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payment tokenization systems and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES).
• Expertise in secure credential provisioning and token management.
• Proficiency in integrating Azure services (Azure Functions, Key Vault, App Service) with payment ecosystems.
• Knowledge of big data and messaging systems such as Kafka or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
