Senior Java Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven services using design patterns
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on AWS EKS, including Kubernetes manifests and autoscaling
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines and optimize Docker images
• Perform Linux OS administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning
• Implement secure coding practices, IAM roles, and RBAC in Kubernetes
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural discussions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Docker and containerization
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years in containerized cloud-native environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)
• Experience with Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Developer
