Senior Java Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance scalable, secure, and high-performance payment processing applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Own technical delivery end-to-end, including implementation, unit/integration testing, deployment readiness, and production support.
• Lead day-to-day execution with offshore teams, managing priorities, dependencies, and coordination with QA and release timelines.
• Define and implement infrastructure-as-code to manage cloud resources and maintain environment stability.
• Perform code reviews to enforce consistent standards for naming, structure, testing, and secure coding practices.
• Develop and support batch and data-processing workloads, ensuring resiliency through patterns like idempotency and error handling.
• Build and enhance application features that integrate with Snowflake and Oracle.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 6+ years of experience in technical leadership, including coding, reviewing, and driving technical decisions.
• 6+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and owning cloud deployments and operations.
• 6+ years of experience with containerized development and modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Docker).
• 3+ years of experience integrating with Snowflake and Oracle in real-world systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in hybrid environments involving both cloud and on-premise platforms.
• Experience designing resilient systems and validating recovery procedures through rigorous testing.
