Senior IT Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technical IT support, advice, and guidance to staff, students, and head office employees
• Manage IT support tickets via the Service Management system, ensuring ownership and regular user updates
• Resolve IT support tickets within target resolution times and escalate to appropriate teams when necessary
• Identify, implement, and document workarounds for desktop-related problems within the Knowledgebase
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring IT incidents to prevent future occurrences
• Notify key contacts within the Federation and Academies upon detection of major service incidents

Requirements

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
• Knowledge of Apple OS and other desktop-related software
• Ability to self-manage, organise, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a flexible and adaptable approach to roaming support
