Senior IT Network Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate networks and firewalls for Corporate IT, Launch, and Space Systems
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance for highly reliable IT network infrastructure
• Lead network upgrades, maintenance, and continuous improvement projects
• Lead project scoping, planning, and deployment for network infrastructure
• Champion IT Infrastructure Standards to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies
• Implement automated build and maintenance processes
• Establish WAN and LAN networking standards in collaboration with other engineers

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in a network-focused technology role
• In-depth knowledge of Fortinet, Juniper, or Cisco network switching and firewall management
• Expert knowledge of WAN, SD-WAN, routing, IPSEC, and SSL VPNs

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialist qualifications such as CISM, AWS, Azure, or Microsoft
• Experience with AWS, O365, and Azure enterprise environments
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, or Windows
• Experience with Configuration Management, Automation, or Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with Server and Storage hardware, Active Directory, DNS, or DHCP
• Understanding of security frameworks like ISO 27001 or NIST 800-171
