Senior IT Engineer

Alaffia is a high-growth, venture-backed Series B healthtech startup based in NYC. We are a claims operations partner for health plans, using expert clinicians and transparent AI to deliver deeper insights, smarter automation, and better outcomes across the healthcare lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Fix broken RBAC automation across Rippling, Google Workspace, and downstream SaaS apps
• Audit company-wide Google Drive and NYC-office group access
• Verify enforcement of SSO and 2FA controls
• Run endpoint inventory audits and apply data labeling across company systems
• Lead company-wide secrets rotation and ongoing rotation cadence
• Roll out universal device control via an MDM tool
• Identify and reduce IT spend bloat
• Build IT task KPIs for visibility and accountability
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support and troubleshooting
• Own relationships with IT vendors and SaaS tools

Requirements

• 6+ years in IT engineering, systems administration, or security-adjacent infra roles
• Direct experience owning identity/access management (RBAC, SSO, 2FA)
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace admin and Rippling or similar HRIS/IT platforms
• Experience with at least one MDM tool
• Experience with secrets management and rotation practices
• Ability to audit and clean up inherited systems
• Strong communication skills for interacting with non-technical employees

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in healthcare, fintech, or compliance-sensitive environments
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar audit frameworks
• Scripting/automation experience with Python or Google Apps Script
