About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technical support for desktops, networks, and IT resources
  • Resolve or coordinate the resolution of escalated technical issues
  • Train and assist lower-level support staff with technical troubleshooting
  • Consult with departments, staff, and faculty regarding operating systems, software, and system configurations
  • Perform installation and configuration of new hardware and software
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend tools, processes, and programs to improve technical support
  • Lead or participate in project teams and the evaluation of emerging technologies
  • Serve as a team lead for Service Desk operations, overseeing day-to-day activities and providing performance feedback

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in End User Support, Help Desk, Network Administration, Workstation Support, and Operating System Administration
  • Well-developed problem-solving, reasoning, and technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with a diverse population
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Must pass Child Protection Clearances (PA Act 153)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
  • CompTIA A+ certification
