About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide front-line technical support for desktops, networks, and IT resources
- Resolve or coordinate the resolution of escalated technical issues
- Train and assist lower-level support staff with technical troubleshooting
- Consult with departments, staff, and faculty regarding operating systems, software, and system configurations
- Perform installation and configuration of new hardware and software
- Research, evaluate, and recommend tools, processes, and programs to improve technical support
- Lead or participate in project teams and the evaluation of emerging technologies
- Serve as a team lead for Service Desk operations, overseeing day-to-day activities and providing performance feedback
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in End User Support, Help Desk, Network Administration, Workstation Support, and Operating System Administration
- Well-developed problem-solving, reasoning, and technical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with a diverse population
- Successful completion of a background check
- Must pass Child Protection Clearances (PA Act 153)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
- CompTIA A+ certification
