Senior IT Administrator

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the College Park office and regional satellite labs
• Deliver Level 2 helpdesk and desktop support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Manage the complete local IT asset lifecycle, including provisioning and maintenance
• Provide technical support for laboratory equipment and IT infrastructure
• Manage conference room A/V equipment and support company-wide events
• Configure lab workstations using playbooks and manage data access permissions
• Perform foundational network troubleshooting for VPNs, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Assist with physical deployment of networking gear and participate in corporate IT projects

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in System Administration, Desktop Support, or Helpdesk roles
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems
• Experience administering SAML-based SaaS applications (Okta, Entra, or Jumpcloud)
• Experience supporting M365 or Google Workspace
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
• Experience with A/V setup and video conferencing solutions (Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams)
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and asset management
• Ability to work on-site full-time in College Park, Maryland

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Scripting or automation skills in Python or Bash
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA
• Experience supporting research or engineering teams in a lab environment
• Prior experience with IT support during M&A activity
