Senior Irrigation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of irrigation systems for the LDIP project, ensuring alignment with project specifications
• Conduct site assessments and analyze soil, water, and climate data to optimize irrigation strategies
• Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and cost estimates for irrigation works
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including landscape architects, civil engineers, and contractors
• Monitor project progress and oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of irrigation systems
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff
• Manage procurement and supplier relationships for irrigation materials and equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in irrigation design and project management
• Proven expertise in LDIP or similar large-scale infrastructure irrigation projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and specialized irrigation design software
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, soil science, and water resource management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia is an advantage
