Senior iOS Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop world-class digital products and experiences on the iOS platform for millions of Scotiabank customers.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and designers to refine requirements and implement documented designs.
• Work closely with iOS, Android, and backend developers to build new features and incremental improvements for the flagship mobile app.
• Write high-quality code, perform thorough code reviews, and maintain project architecture following best practices.
• Balance user experience, performance, and security while adhering to coding conventions and governing regulations.
• Utilize JIRA and Confluence to manage ticket requirements and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of iOS development experience, including conceptualization, design, and development.
• Proficiency with Swift 5 and XCTest.
• Strong knowledge of UIKit, Auto Layout, and building interfaces programmatically.
• Experience building applications that consume RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with software design patterns and hands-on architectural design for native iOS apps.
• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Ability to work within a large-scale enterprise environment involving both new technologies and legacy systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience with Combine and SwiftUI.
• Deep understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
