Senior Investment Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead the origination, evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of new investment transactions in the manufacturing, agribusiness, and services sectors.
• Shape business leads into actionable investment concepts by preparing investment theses and identifying potential opportunities.
• Mobilize additional investors and funding, including B-loans, parallel loans, and other forms of private capital.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including social, environmental, and technical assistance teams, to ensure sustainable development impact.
• Manage client relationships and engage with external stakeholders such as government officials, regulators, and multilateral partners.
• Mentor and develop assigned staff and broader team members through coaching and on-the-job learning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, investment, or banking with a proven track record in sourcing and closing deals.
• Expertise in financial modelling, credit analysis, and structuring various financial instruments (debt, equity, mezzanine, blended finance).
• Proven experience in mobilizing third-party capital and working with co-investors.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of additional regional languages.
• Experience in knowledge management and strategy development within a global organization.
