Senior Internal Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, align, maintain, and test local controls in line with Group requirements to ensure internal control objectives are met.
• Coordinate internal control testing and track gaps and remediation actions in collaboration with EBS.
• Participate in audit planning and execute internal audit projects according to the IC Annual Plan, including special audits and investigations.
• Perform full audit cycles covering operations, financial reliability, and compliance with Group directives and local regulations.
• Provide guidance, ad hoc advice, and training/coaching to control and business process owners.
• Advise management on improving internal controls, organizational practices, and continuous improvement of control tools.
• Participate in the local Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process and report outcomes to the Group.
• Prepare presentations and report internal control and audit results to the Executive Committee.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in internal audit or internal control.
• Mandatory membership in CAFR (Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania).
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
• Proven ability to analyze large data sets and prepare detailed reports.
• Deep knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
