Senior Internal Auditor

Responsibilities

• Conduct walkthroughs and testing to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of the SOX programme
• Train and supervise management testers regarding SOX testing, fieldwork progress, and workpaper reviews
• Identify potential risks relating to financial reporting, accounting processes, and key systems
• Plan and execute risk-based financial and operational audits from start to finish within budget
• Collaborate with the audit team and management to develop audit objectives and assessment plans
• Perform audit tests and interviews to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities
• Prepare clear and impactful audit reports to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
• Identify opportunities for process automation using data analytics and AI tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting or internal auditing qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CPA)
• 4+ years of experience in auditing (internal or external) or a complementary finance function
• Strong working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and control frameworks
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to travel approximately 10-20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with audit and technology tools such as AuditBoard/Optro, PowerBI, or AI tools
• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
