Senior Internal Auditor

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end SOX program, including risk assessment, scoping, control design, testing, and remediation monitoring.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors to manage timelines, evidence, and issue resolution.
• Execute functional, site, and specialized internal audits across global operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate control gaps and ensure sustainable solutions.
• Maintain and enhance SOX documentation and administer Workiva for dashboards and reporting.
• Communicate audit results to stakeholders and track the timely remediation of findings.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by monitoring regulatory changes and emerging risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or internal/external audit.
• Proven leadership experience within a SOX compliance environment.
• Strong knowledge of SOX, COSO, PCAOB, IIA Standards, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to approximately 20%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 accounting firm experience.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA.
• Experience working in global or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with SAP, Hyperion, QAD, Workiva, or BI tools like Power BI.
