Senior Interlocking (IXL) System Designer

Responsibilities

• Design standardized IXL architectures and related configurations to support railway signalling systems
• Develop block designs, including single and double-line signalling plans, signal sighting, and route/aspect charts
• Capture customer architectural requirements and define system interfaces
• Define IXL system solutions, including components and pre-fitted configurations
• Produce comprehensive documentation for assembly and testing
• Support installation and testing teams during initial deployment and project activities
• Share knowledge of IXL system architecture features with the engineering community

Requirements

• Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• P. Eng certification or currently in progress
• 5-10 years of experience in systems/sub-systems application design or integration in a complex, regulated environment (e.g., railway signalling, aerospace, or defense)
• Strong knowledge of IXL systems, safety principles, and power supply
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with IXL Alstom products
• Experience working with new security standards for rail signalling
