Senior Interior Designer

Responsibilities

• Prepare working briefs, client requirements, and concept designs with Directors
• Oversee spatial planning, schematic design schemes, and design development documentation
• Prepare tender documentation packages including drawings, details, schedules, and specifications
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and the wider design team to communicate project briefs and expectations
• Assist in leading junior and mid-weight designers through key RIBA Stages
• Visit sites for inspections and act as a point of contact for contractors regarding RFIs and design variations
• Review and approve shop drawings and material samples
• Assist in preparing fee proposals by estimating timescales and studio resourcing

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the Interior Design or Architecture industry
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture
• Essential proficiency in AutoCAD with ability to document work to RIBA Stage 4+
• Proven experience on-site liaising with project managers, contractors, and clients
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and standards
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural and joinery detailing
• Excellent understanding of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-end residential, development, or hospitality projects
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or 3D Studio Max
• Strong understanding of FF&E, including materials, fabrics, lighting, and ironmongery
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
