Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems/Technology Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead ITS/technology design review and certification for M25 schemes
• Produce, check, and approve design documents, reports, and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and National Highways
• Manage scope, budget, programme, and quality compliance
• Support optioneering, feasibility studies, and whole-life costing
• Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and in-house capability

Requirements

• Relevant vocational qualification; BEng/BSc/HNC/HND desirable
• Membership of IET or IHE
• Working toward IEng or CEng
• Experience in ITS/technology design and assessment
• Knowledge of CDM and H&S legislation
• Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW, IEC, and electrical installation standards
• Working knowledge of CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, and MIDAS

Preferred Qualifications

• Highway design or commissioning experience
• Knowledge of communication networks and cyber security
• Microsoft Project skills
• CSCS card registration
• Consultation experience with National Highways and local authorities
