Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems/Technology Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead review, management, and certification of ITS/technology designs
• Deliver cost-effective design solutions for M25 ITS assets
• Coordinate with design, asset, and project management teams
• Produce, check, and certify design documents and reports
• Manage external consultants and design suppliers
• Support optioneering, feasibility, and whole-life costing
• Liaise with National Highways and other stakeholders
• Support innovation, continual improvement, and sustainability activities

Requirements

• Relevant engineering qualification; BEng/BSc/HNC/HND desirable
• Membership of IET or IHE
• Working toward IEng or CEng
• Experience in ITS/technology design and assessment
• Knowledge of CDM and health and safety legislation
• Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW, IEC, and IET wiring regulations
• Working knowledge of ITS equipment such as CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, and MIDAS
• Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills
• UK-based and eligible to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• Highway design experience across project stages
• Knowledge of communication networks and cyber security
• Experience preparing and checking reports and drawings
• CSCS card registration
• Microsoft Project knowledge
• Consultation experience with National Highways or local authorities
• UK driving licence
