Senior Integration/API Architect

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy software for test systems, product platforms, and manufacturing data management
• Design and standardize APIs for interoperability between EDA tools, photonic solvers, PDK infrastructure, and CI/CD systems
• Build and maintain middleware and adapters for commercial and proprietary tools
• Establish API versioning, schema validation, and backward compatibility strategies
• Implement observability and traceability mechanisms including logging, metrics, and lineage tracking
• Collaborate with device, layout, and simulation engineers to translate domain requirements into platform abstractions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with exposure to systems integration or platform architecture
• Proven experience designing and governing APIs (REST, gRPC, event-driven architectures)
• Proficiency in Python and at least one systems or backend language (Go, C++, Java, or Rust)
• Experience with data interchange formats like protocol buffers or avro
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems, Docker, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Experience integrating with data platforms such as Databricks or Tableau
• Background in engineering-heavy domains like EDA, semiconductor, or hardware
