About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive HIL test plans for autonomous software and hardware integration
  • Perform bench-level testing of sensors and compute modules
  • Execute static vehicle-level HIL testing by simulating real-world driving scenarios
  • Execute structured test plans covering functional, regression, and fault-injection scenarios
  • Measure and analyze software performance including latency, CPU/memory utilization, and throughput
  • Design and implement automated test suites and integrate results with AWS for scalable analysis
  • Monitor and debug vehicle communications
  • Partner with Autonomy and Systems Engineering teams to define validation requirements
  • Document anomalies and contribute to safety-critical validation metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience testing complex safety-critical systems (software, firmware, or hardware)
  • Direct experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and system-level validation
  • Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
  • Proficiency with CAN networks and vehicle communication protocols
  • Experience with Ethernet protocols (UDP and TCP)
  • Experience with CAN bus analysis tools like Intrepid Vehicle Spy or Vector CANoe/CANalyzer
  • Strong command of Linux environments for system configuration and troubleshooting
  • Expertise in Test Case Automation and scripting
  • Experience integrating test automation with AWS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an applicable engineering field
  • Experience testing ADAS vehicles or autonomous robotic systems
  • Experience using AWS for data storage, compute, or CI/CD integration
  • Proficiency in Python or C++ for test scripts and data analysis tools
