Senior Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support design teams in the selection and qualification of sensors
• Support assembly, integration, and testing teams in defining operative procedures
• Establish design and operative standards for flight instrumentation
• Estimate and calculate errors resulting from the measurement chain
• Perform hands-on assembly and testing of instrumentation
• Align with design teams to update instrumentation lists and sensor configuration files
• Conduct instrumentation reviews and improve selected equipment
• Perform functional and environmental qualification of sensors
• Assist with the integration of flight sensors to the Flight Test Instrumentation system

Requirements

• Experience in sensor selection and qualification
• Ability to perform hands-on assembly and testing
• Proficiency in calculating measurement chain errors
• Experience with functional and environmental qualification

Preferred Qualifications

• PCB design and debugging skills
• Understanding of aerospace communication protocols, RF, solenoids, and lithium-ion batteries
