Senior Instrument Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Serve as the manufacturing process owner for assigned lines, ensuring safety, delivery, quality, and cost targets are met
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electromechanical instruments, including electronic circuits, PCBs, and mechanical systems
• Partner with Manufacturing Operators to achieve weekly production goals
• Support process engineering activities, including Deviation Waivers, Quality Notifications, and Out of Tolerance findings
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve production and system issues
• Train production associates on assembly and testing procedures
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities and perform feasibility tests
• Revise, verify, and validate manufacturing procedures

Requirements

• Associate's degree in mechanical or electronics engineering, or a related technical field
• Proven capability in testing highly complex electromechanical instruments
• Expertise in reading technical drawings and interpreting dimensions/requirements
• Strong proficiency in a Windows environment and use of PCs
• Experience with root cause analysis and providing technical solutions
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software tools (e.g., oscilloscope, torque drivers, gauges)
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage time across multiple production orders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop other associates
• Experience acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex instruments
