Senior Instructor - Math

Responsibilities

• Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes for grades 4–8
• Manage all grading and administrative tasks for assigned classes
• Support campus operations by assisting other instructors and directors with grading
• Model expert teaching practices through class observations and professional development
• Conduct regular office hours and meet with students and families for academic or behavioral support
• Create and implement content-specific in-reach and outreach workshops
• Contribute to curriculum improvements through course feedback and discussions

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics in grades 4–8, including content through Geometry
• Bachelor's degree required (strongly preferred in education or a related field)
• At least 2 years of prior K-12 teaching experience or 1 year of AoPS Academy experience
• Ability to work a nontraditional schedule, including evenings and weekends during the academic year

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree related to the subject area
• Strong subject matter expertise in mathematics
