Senior Instructor

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of activities and programmes in line with company standards, SOPs, and programme objectives.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and real-time feedback to instructors to support staff development and consistent delivery standards.
• Support the development and improvement of programmes, including session planning, risk assessments, and activity content.
• Apply dynamic risk management principles in real time, modifying or stopping activities to maintain safety.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, participant engagement, and group management throughout programme delivery.
• Make operational decisions in response to changing conditions and escalate safety or welfare concerns to the Centre Manager.

Requirements

• Experience delivering outdoor education, adventure activities, experiential learning, or residential camp experiences.
• Strong group management and participant engagement skills.
• Relevant technical outdoor qualifications appropriate to the activities being delivered.
• Relevant First Aid qualification.
• Experience supporting, coaching, or mentoring instructors and junior staff.
• Experience working with schools, children, or youth organisations.
• Full UAE driving licence or the ability to obtain one.
• Excellent understanding of risk management, safety procedures, and participant welfare.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing or reviewing risk assessments, SOPs, or activity plans.
• Experience within remote, expedition-based, or wilderness environments.
• Additional specialist activity qualifications (e.g., climbing, watersports, high ropes, or paddlesports).
• Experience leading multi-day residential or expedition programmes.
