Senior Infrastructure & Multi-Cloud Automation/IaC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates for OCI, GCP, SIT, private cloud, and VMware/VCF environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning across cloud, virtualization, and systems platforms to reduce manual operational effort.
• Build reusable automation templates for compute, network, IAM, storage, monitoring, and backup onboarding.
• Own cloud infrastructure asset management, including automated inventory, resource discovery, and lifecycle governance.
• Identify and automate the cleanup of orphaned, unused, or underutilized cloud resources to improve cloud hygiene.
• Implement and enforce tagging standards for ownership, cost centers, and lifecycle status.
• Define automation standards, coding practices, and operational runbooks while maintaining version-controlled repositories.
• Support FinOps efforts by identifying waste and optimization opportunities through automated reporting.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, systems, or automation roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Proven experience automating infrastructure across at least two platforms (e.g., OCI, GCP, VMware/VCF, private cloud, Windows, or Linux).
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure operations, including provisioning, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with cloud asset inventory, tagging governance, and resource lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with Git and version control for managing automation templates.
• Understanding of ITSM, ServiceNow, and change management workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-cloud automation experience.
• VMware / VCF or OpenShift/Kubernetes infrastructure automation exposure.
• ServiceNow workflow or CMDB integration experience.
• HashiCorp Terraform, Red Hat Ansible, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
