About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical authority and application owner for enterprise monitoring and logging platforms, including Datadog and Splunk.
- Lead enterprise-scale monitoring platform migrations, including architecture design, agent strategy, and data ingestion models across 5,000+ servers.
- Define global standards for alerting, dashboards, observability data quality, and integration with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.
- Serve as the SOX control owner for enterprise monitoring applications, managing ITGC compliance and coordinating with internal and external auditors.
- Act as a senior escalation point for observability-related incidents, leading root-cause analysis and remediation efforts.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and implementation partners to ensure contract deliverables and resource availability.
- Design and manage multi-org architectures, including RBAC, SSO/SAML, and secrets management to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, monitoring, or platform engineering.
- Proven expertise with enterprise monitoring and logging platforms such as Datadog or Splunk.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation tools, specifically Ansible and PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure.
- Deep understanding of SOX compliance, ITGC controls, and audit processes.
- Experience operating in large, complex IT environments with high governance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SNMP-based monitoring for storage and network devices.
- Knowledge of NetFlow collection and syslog/event integration.
- Experience managing large-scale agent-based and agentless architectures.
